We use a material called glass wool for soundproofing purposes. Inexpensive and easy to apply, glass wool is a sound-absorbing material used on many construction sites. It is a standard material used to reduce noise emitted by air conditioning equipments and power generators in buildings, as well as a material to absorb sound in concert halls.
